Support for Linea x Aave is now live at DeFi Saver

Aave x Linea support just went live on DeFi Saver, allowing all Aave users on Linea access to our signature DFS leverage management options and a lot more.

Support for Linea x Aave is now live at DeFi Saver

We’re proud to announce the integration of Linea, the first zk-based rollup supported at DeFi Saver, together with immediate Aave Linea market support.

With it’s fast-growing ecosystem and attractive incentives for users, Linea has quickly grown into a serious contender in the L2 space, while Aave has quickly established itself as the dominant lending protocol on the network.

So, let’s briefly go over what makes this integration cool, and what you can do on Linea at DeFi Saver, starting today.

What is Linea?

Linea is a zkEVM L2chain, meaning it deploys zero-knowledge-proof technology and relies on validity proofs to verify transactions. Originally founded by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin and the ConsenSys team as a speculative research project, Linea has since evolved into one of the most promising scaling solutions in the ecosystem.

Since its test launch in 2023, Linea has gained the trust and attention of devs and users alike, due to its unique mechanisms, such as lettuce-based cryptography, canonical messaging, and full EVM compatibility. In terms of TVL, Linea now competes with optimistic rollups like Arbitrum and Optimism, with a TVL of $1.34B.

And it’s to little surprise, with numerous incentive programmes Linea has in store for its users and token holders. One such programme is the Linea Ignition, which was launched to reward liquidity providers and support the new Native Yield mechanism.

Just yesterday, Linea had its Token Generation Event (TGE) where users were met with the airdrop of the LINEA native token. In case you’re an avid Linea user, you can easily check your eligibility with Linea’s Airdrop Checker.

What you can do with Aave x Linea on DFS

Aave has been live on Linea since February this year, and it has quickly become the most dominant lending protocol on the network. Given that we have a long history of building on Aave, having supported it since v1 in early 2020, we were more than glad to jump on the opportunity of supporting another major Aave instance.

Starting today, anyone looking to use Aave on Linea can also do it via DeFi Saver. Our signature leverage management options, as well as our collateral and debt swaps, are already up and running on Linea, with automation updates coming soon.

Bear in mind that some of the Linea Ignition incentives apply to Aave users on Linea (and of course, to DFS Aave users on Linea).

One such incentive is live until 26 October, where you can earn extra LINEA rewards simply by supplying (W)ETH, USDT, and USDC to Aave on Linea.

Aside from Aave support, it’s definitely worth mentioning that our Exchange and Bridge dashboards are also available on Linea, starting today.

Just like on every other chain we support, we also do meta-aggregation on Linea, with 0x (Matcha), 1inch, and Kyberswap already integrated, and our other aggregator partners (Bebop, Odos, Velora) soon to follow. And for bridging options, we use Li.Fi, which in itself is an aggregator of bridging options.

All of this is now available for you to check out at DeFi Saver. We look forward to growing together with Aave and Linea, as we all work towards bringing efficiency and innovation to the DeFi ecosystem.
